Background

Both PNS first team and reserves play in the Eagle Bitters United Counties League, the first team in Division 1 (Step 6) and the reserves in reserve league division 1.
In 2008/09 the first team won both the UCL Division 1 title and the Northants Junior Cup but unfortunately were denied promotion after the floodlights were erected a week past the deadline.
The Reserve side won the reserve section division 2 in 2008/9 to earn promotion to the 1st division and for season 2009/10 the club have also launched a Youth Team that play in the Northants Senior Midweek League.

Challenge

For the club to gain a promotion they had to install floodlighting at their stadium. The electrical supply in the area was insufficient to power the lights and upgrading the supply was not an option due to the high capital outlay. The club was faced with potentially having to relocate.

Solution

PE Generators supplied a super silenced 70kVA generator on a rental basis. This was delivered using one of their 42tonn hiab; lifting the generator in to difficult position on site.

Client Benefits

The Youth Team will benefit from being able to attend more frequent mid week training programmes and matches under floodlight during the dark winter months; adhering to FA legislation.

Client Commendation
